I had the best experience getting my engagement ring in Applebys. Audrey helped me every step of the way in the design process, from picking the diamond to the setting and giving her advice. The best service every time we visited and she made the experience so special.
Excellent experience
My wife and I bought our wedding bands from here and had an excellent experience. We were looked after by Teng who was very friendly, very knowledgeable and very patient as we tried and re-tried rings. We didn't feel pressured at all, or like we were being up sold.
18 Years Of Great Care And Respect
Our first gorgeous experience with Appleby's was 18 years ago. We bought my engagement ring and wedding bands as a young couple starting out. We had such a fabulous experience. I recently had my engagement ring repaired and I am so thrilled with the result. They treated this tiny, modest little piece with great care and respect.

The staff were incredibly helpful and thoughtful throughout the entire process, especially Anne Marie Pope, who went above and beyond. She treated my mum with such care and attention, ensuring every detail of her bespoke piece reflected her exact taste.
Nothing Compared To The Level Of Perfection & Professionalism.
I came across this shop after a couple of visits elsewhere and safe to say nothing compared to the level of perfection & professionalism. I spoke with Terry over the phone to explain what I was looking for and book an appointment. He was very helpful and had a wealth of knowledge on diamonds. During my appointment I was looked after by a lovely lady called Stephanie. I cannot stress enough how above and beyond she went for us. During the appointment she knew exactly what I was looking for and had many examples to show. After the engagement the ring needed to be resized which was done very promptly. My Fiancée was absolutely over the moon with her experience in the shop to be resized safe to say the staff in the workshop and especially Stephanie really saved the day! I’m so glad I found this shop and will definitely be back in the future. Thank you to all the staff they’re a credit to the Appleby name!

Early Days
Our story began in 1950s Dublin, at the warmth of the Appleby family home. Margaret Appleby would sit for hours crafting jewellery by hand for a small circle of clients who trusted her eye and her care. She shaped gold, set diamonds, and finished every piece with patience, pride, and a deep respect for the person it was being made for. That kind of care became her signature, and it has stayed with us ever since.
Johnsons Court Opens
As her reputation grew, Margaret was joined by her husband John, and in 1960 they opened a small shop together at Johnson's Court. From the very beginning, Appleby was defined not by scale, but by standards. It became a destination for those who valued exceptional craftsmanship, personal service and enduring quality. A truly special place where families return, generation after generation, to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.
Three Generations
Today, Appleby remains family-owned and managed, still guided by the values Margaret set in place. All four of John and Margaret’s sons are part of Appleby today, hands-on and involved in every corner of the business, alongside a new third generation including Kate, Sophie, Emily, John and Nicholas Appleby.

We work exclusively with 100% recycled 18ct gold, platinum, precious stones and natural diamonds, designed to mark every chapter and milestone.
