Perfect for someone who wants a striking, design-led engagement ring — balancing bold presence with refined elegance, and a silhouette that feels both modern and timeless.
At its centre sits a 1.21ct oval-cut D cut diamond diamond, chosen for its exceptional presence, fire, and beautifully elongated silhouette. The oval cut is celebrated for its ability to maximise light while creating a flattering, graceful shape on the hand.
Framing the centre stone, two trapeze-cut diamonds (totaling 0.52ct) bring structure and refinement to the design. Their clean, tapered lines draw the eye inward, enhancing the scale of the centre diamond while adding a distinct architectural edge.
Each stone is set in fine platinum claws, allowing light to move freely through every facet, while the 18ct yellow gold band introduces warmth.
I chose my engagement ring from Appleby Jewellers after shopping around nearly every jewellery shop in Dublin City. The service is what got me hook line and sinker. 3 years on the quality of the diamond is still evident. It sparkles like no other. I can't wait to come back for my wedding band!

Margaret Appleby first began our family business in 1950's Dublin, making jewellery in the family home for a select circle of customers. By 1960, she and her husband John had opened their first store at Johnson's Court.
Over the following decades Appleby became one of the best loved names in Irish jewellery. Our reputation was established on high standards of customer service and quality workmanship.
Our legacy as a family-run business for three generations represents the heart and soul of Appleby Jewellers. It's our name that is above the door and we endeavour to honour it in everything we do. Every piece we create is designed to be cherished for generations & we take pride in being part of your most precious milestones and memories.
