Every exceptional ring begins long before it reaches the workshop bench. For The Serenity, the story started with the gemstone itself.

Selecting the stone

When this green tourmaline was first placed in the hands of our gemologist Nick Appleby in Hong Kong, there was an immediate stillness around it. At 7.58 carats, it was undeniably rare, but it wasn’t its size that held us, it was the colour. A vivid, living green. Luminous and deep at once. The kind of stone that feels as though it carries its own breath.

Sourcing a gemstone like this isn’t about ticking boxes or chasing trends. It’s about waiting, until a stone feels right. This tourmaline did. Its clarity, its depth, the way it caught the light without shouting for it.

Green tourmaline has long been associated with renewal, balance, and inner calm, qualities that felt instinctively right for a piece named The Serenity.
Once secured, the gemstone became the anchor for everything that followed.

Design Meetings In Dublin

Back in our Dublin workshop, the design process unfolded slowly and collaboratively. The stone was passed from hand to hand, sketches layered over tracing paper, proportions debated and refined. The aim was never to overpower the tourmaline, but to honour it, to create a setting that would amplify its natural presence.

The decision to cradle the stone in 18ct yellow gold was instinctive. Its warmth amplifies the green’s vibrancy, creating a glow that feels almost alchemical. A subtle halo of 20 round brilliant diamonds was introduced not for drama, but for balance, a fine, restrained shimmer that catches the light gently, framing the tourmaline rather than competing with it.

Platinum detailing was incorporated for precision and durability, ensuring the setting feels as considered as it is beautiful.

The Final Design

After weeks of dedicated craftsmanship, the Serenity Ring is complete. Each piece undergoes rigorous quality checks to ensure it meets our exacting standards before finding its forever home.

There is an unmistakable sense of enchantment to The Serenity. Its vivid green carries a subtle magic that will resonate with those drawn to stories of individuality and inner conviction. Like the world of Wicked, it celebrates power that comes from within rather than from display.
